Engineer
At Lion we attribute much of our success to the strength of our marketing department. To build on this momentum, we are looking for a highly qualified Marketing & Event Coordinator to join the team. From day one, this person will contribute to existing marketing programs and support the development of new initiatives that align with Lion’s and client objectives. You have experience in a variety of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, video editing and social media. The Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
- Support the development and implementation of the Lion’s brand strategy
- Ensure that all marketing efforts contribute to both short- and long-term business goals, identify and implement process improvements, generate content and leads
- Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
- Conduct market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and customer trends
- Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, including a reference database, tracking features, global contact list, and intranet sites
Keep knowledge up to date through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices, local marketing ideas, and tactics with the team.
Daily and monthly responsibilities
- Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Assist the Marketing Director in reviewing and creating marketing plans and strategies by making sales forecasts, setting objectives, planning and organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars
- Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion
- Plan and organize meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, gathering, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, preparing schedules and assignments, and managing mailing lists
- Maintain a list and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
- Continuously seek out new sources of prospective customer data and make recommendations on sales and marketing leadership opportunities
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
- Work experience as a Marketing Coordinator or in a similar role
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Experience conducting research using data analysis software
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications
- Familiar with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Knowledge of HTML, as well as design and email software
- Experience working with budgets and forecasts
