Marcel van Rangelrooij is the co-owner of Lion Marine Group and brings over 24 years of
experience in pneumatic conveying and bulk handling solutions. He began his career as
an aircraft maintenance engineer, laying a strong foundation for his hands-on, technical
approach to problem-solving and innovation.

Over the past 13 years, Marcel has focused on entrepreneurship, technical consulting, and
leadership roles, contributing to the growth and transformation of companies across multiple
industries. His career includes key leadership roles at KOVAKO (FLSmidth) and as Chief
Operations Officer at H.W. Carlsen.

In 2016, Marcel joined forces with Cor de Kwant to merge four leading brands—H.W. Carlsen,
Kintec, Ruyter Offshore, and Bulk Academy—into Lion Bulk Handling, part of Lion Marine
Group. The company is now a recognized leader in bulk handling systems for marine, offshore,
portside, and terminal environments.

Marcel also serves on the Advisory Board at Weka Marine, where he previously held the role
of Information Director, contributing technical expertise in ICT, software, and operations.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Margriet, and pursues his passion
for aviation and flight simulation, inspired by global travels that began in 2001.
